Parc
Lofts is a new industrial loft building located in downtown
Miami - Park west.
In New York, San Francisco,
New Orleans and dozens of other cities around the world,
lofts have become widely popular residences, acting
as the catalyst for the revival of decaying urban areas,
and creating high-energy cultural and artistic communities.
By converting existing spaces into large dwellings in
the hearts of urban centers, developers offered dramatic
residences with "wide-open," unique spaces
an inviting contrast to smaller more pervasive, high-priced
"plain vanilla" or "matchbox" apartment
units.
Henry Harper-McClausland and Gustavo Hernandez, co-founders
of The Intrepid Real Estate Company are bringing this
authentic vintage loft concept to Miami with Parc Lofts
- a 72-loft unit development in the newly revitalized
downtown Performing Arts Center (PARC) District. The
design was inspired by vintage European converted Loft
buildings, the tropical landscape of Miami and by the
original circa 1955 industrial warehouse formerly on
the Parc Lofts site. The developer and architect, renowned
Miami-based firm, Bermello Ajamil & Partners, have
created a design that recreates and adapts the concept
for Miami without losing it’s distinctive vintage
flavor.
Parc Lofts is a pioneering
urban renewal and redevelopment project. The lofts range
in size from 700 to 5,436 square feet, with ceiling
heights of 15-20 feet. The top two levels of Parc Lofts
boast 20 foot ceiling heights with secondary bathrooms
at the mezzanine level. There are 8 lofts currently
configured to be between 2,700 – 5,450 square
feet but many loft units on every floor, ranging in
size from 1,200 to 1,900 square feet can be purchased
and united creating larger spaces.
The Parc lofts offer wide,
open spaces with unmatched volume and few traditional
condominium features such as bedroom separations, dry
wall partitions and modern condo finishes. Rather, the
residences are raw blank canvases ready for their ‘loft
dweller’ to personalize. All residences have traditional
loft characteristics, including exposed ducts and structural
elements such as large visible columns in some units,
open floor plans and optional wood flooring. Unit amenities
include mezzanine bedrooms and terraces in the 20-foot
ceiling lofts, bathrooms, and stainless steel kitchen
appliances.
Residents of Parc Lofts will enjoy a grand oasis consisting
of a lush tropical garden, zen aquatic elements and
a large swimming pool. The building will have a fully
equipped gym, as well as a high-tech security system.
The building will feature covered, secure parking.
Parc Lofts is located in the heart of the up and coming
Performing Arts District, near the Miami Design District
and downtown Miami. Three minutes away are Interstate
95 and the MacArthur Causeway, which goes directly to
Miami Beach’s popular South Beach (SOBE) District.
Parc Lofts is less than four blocks from the $370 million
Performing Arts Center, now under construction, that
will be the home of the Florida Grand Opera Florida
Philharmonic and other South Florida musical and performing
arts groups. Another block away is the planned Miami
Art Museum, now being designed. Just north of Parc Lofts
is Miami’s Ice Palace Studios, owned by Big Time
Productions.
Parc Lofts is destined to play an important role in
the revitalization of Miami’s performing arts
community, bringing the distinctly appealing authentic
loft lifestyle to South Florida urban living landscape."
Although lofts might be found in obsolete buildings
that might seem less than ideal for a modern living
space, precisely the opposite is true."
